Nigerian music artiste, Erhiga Agarivbie, popularly known as Erigga, has explained why there is so much bitterness in marriages today.

According to the Warri-born Nigerian rapper, women tend to marry men who are ready for marriage rather than those they are truly in love with. As a result, he maintained, they lack the patience to fix things when there is a little difficulty.

He made his point clear on Twitter.

"Do you know why there are so much pain and bitterness in marriages today, Its because 90% of women don’t marry who they love rather they marry who is ready," he tweeted.

A Twitter user, with the handle @mayor_of_, narrated his experience on the subject thus: "My girl wea tell me say if she no marry me she no go fit marry anybody for this her life. Just because I open up tell her say I never ready for marriage till like 3 to 4 years from last year. Baba, I attend her wedding last December live oo."

"The ladies are put under serious pressure from family and friends. That's why most of them leave relationship of 4yrs and jump to a guy they met for just 3 months," remarked another Twitter user.
