Some artistes will tell me, young boss I have been in the industry for 6 years, some 8 years, some 20 years’ but don’t you know there are some who have not spent up to a year or 2 in the Music Industry and are already reaping the rewards. Or dont you know the longer you do Music without being successful in it will make you the laughing stock of your Family and Friends. Some will say, ‘Oga what are you saying, Go and do another thing’


It’s not just about having 4 songs, or 8 albums Nooo!! Who and who have listened 👂 to it?
Asides your brothers, Cousins and Friends at School or streets. How many High profiles Shows have you been able to perform or how many event organizers have called you and said ‘Hello Mr Lagbaja, this is Billyque I want you on my Event this weekend’ huh??


How many states has your music carried you? Most artistes I have handled have travelled between states within their Geo-graphical area for shows, Radio Interviews and Video Cameo appearances.

(Sorry to use you as an example bro) D-One is a typical example of an artiste I have handled. He lives in PH and was slated to perform in Harry Songz ‘King Makers Concert’ in Warri. Funny enough only 4 upcoming artistes were lounged in Hotels including him.

He shared the same stage with Harry Song, Yung6ix, Errigga, Orishe Femi, and Faze. Even Comedian Igodye was seen dancing 💃 to his song now what do you call this???


I will always say this over and over

This is the Nigerian Music not the Indian Industry. As an artiste your best bet are bloggers, Radio and TV On- Air personalities, Hypemen, Music Promoters, PRs etc not the celebrities they cannot help and are only after their own. Reach 🤝out and liase with people who in their own field are professionals in getting your music Far and Wide 🌎
