Pujo: My name is Princess Uche joy okolie for short PUJO AKA Pocket rocket, AKA Sweeter than 16.

REPORTER: What about the president  of the the association of side chicks or have you been impeached for misappropriation??

Pujo: Hahaha, hell no am still in power as the president of side chick association,  am glad you pointed that out and that shows that people are beginning to see our videos out there.

REPORTER: As we progress you shall elaborate on what the association is about and who is eligible to join

Pujo: Ok sure

REPORTER: For today we will be focusing on the corruption in the industry which no one wants to talk about,do you think there are ills in the Nigerian entertainment industry?


Pujo: Hmmm, yes ills are everywhere even in the religious sectors.I mean the entertainment industry is not in it alone

REPORTER: What are the few you've seen or experienced as an actor??

Pujo: I have been opportuned to be auditioned many times and I have passed so many auditions and then the next thing the producer/crew members want me to meet them up in their hotel rooms for script collection and then they request for sex before they can actually handover the script , and some after I worked with them the first time they don't give you another opportunity because you refused to have sex with them. It's really frustrating.

REPORTER: Some film makers claim this is not true, One of my guest who was a director claimed that the females who aren't good enough offer their body in exchange for roles

Pujo: It's both ways, really some female/male whom aren't competent enough would rather offer sex in order to get jobs or whom also think that's the only way forward. 

I call that desperation.

REPORTER: What is the way forward or  should we continue like this??

Pujo: The way forward I will say is to look for raw talents (competency) if our industry must go beyond where it is presently.

REPORTER: Princess ,from the information in my hands we now have a lot of film schools but these guys aren't willing to learn.where do you place these people??

Pujo: Whoever is not willing to learn is not ready for advancement.

REPORTER: But the industry is not really regulated ,what do you think we really need in the industry in other to begin comparison with the likes of Hollywood etc??

Pujo: Simple,we need  government's partnership to move forward

REPORTER: Alright ,how long have you been in practice??

Pujo: My interest in the industry has been from my junior secondary days, in 2004 I registered with Actors guild of Nigeria but then I absconded, then came back in 2018.

REPORTER : What moment would you consider as your worst moment in the industry??

Pujo: The moments when I  arrived auditioning grounds as early as 7am to put down name, waiting till 9/10am  for the panelists to arrive and when they do they will use the list from the onset and then the next thing they will start pointing girls call it point and kill and then some of us that arrive early sometimes end up not be auditioned.

REPORTER: 😭indeed is a painful experience,I've been there too but the joy is that such people will still live to celebrate you someday

REPORTER: Do you intend giving up sometime soon??

Pujo: Giving up is no option for me.

REPORTER:Any final words for everyone?

Pujo: Know what you want and don't allow anyone make you derail from that purpose which God has sent you to accomplish. 

And for those who find themselves doing what is not giving them joy should Know  that it's not too late to retrace your passion. Do that which gives you joy and inner peace as that's the true definition for success.
