Daddy O.: Can we get to know you?


TIFE: I'm Alabi Boluwatife. Popularly known as Tife


 Daddy O.: Why choose music?


TIFE: I'd say. Its a passion, its something I've always had in me. Its something I have this string zeal for, I do music not for the money. But for the fact that I always love to relay information to people through my music.I do it to pass meaningful message to my people


 Daddy O.: Wow this is insightful ,how long now?


TIFE: I started writing songs in 2012. But I got to record professionally in 2013. So I'd say I've been doing music for 5 years now


 Daddy O.: Awesome ,so what are the challenges that has been limiting you so far?


TIFE: Basically, the major challenge I've been having as an upcoming is the connections. I really haven't gotten the right ears to listen to my songs. So let me say connection is the main challenge I've been having


Daddy O.: Hmmm so how far have you gone to make your music accessible to the public?

TIFE: I did a lot in the aspect of promotions. My songs are always online to anyone that would love to listen to my songs


Daddy O.: Have you been to any musical contest before?


TIFE: I have been on a couple of contests. The like of TheMic music talent hunt, Top naija music awards and a few more...


Daddy O.: So what was the response of your audience???


TIFE‬: Well, I got to know how much love my people got for me, it was a massive turn up from them, I was really encouraged. Even if I didn't emerge as the winner, I was fulfilled, to see that my people love what I do. That is sufficient for me


 Daddy O.: Amazing ,basically what are your expectations in this your journey ?


TIFE‬: My expectations in this journey lies on attain heights which is reaching the top so I would shake the music industry. And change the style of music around town


Daddy O.: What is that one thing that irritates you about the Nigerian music space which you will  like to change?


TIFE‬: The violent songs around the industry, I would say with all due respect, the songs our artistes sing about girls' booty and street vibes will not help. Most upcoming too are queueing up to that style too. Its not supposed to be. Singers like KoredeBello, Reekadobanks, Kiss Daniel should be supported. They do meaningful songs.


 Daddy O.: As in low tempo songs?so what do you call your kind of music?


TIFE: I do low tempo songs too. My style of music is meaningful. Like I said, I love to relay meaningful messages to people.


 Daddy O.: If you have one wish to make to music promoters out there and,record labels what would it be?


TIFE: It would be that they should make themselves reachable. Music promoters like The pamilerin and co would bill you 250k so as to work on your song. An artist that would spend so much to record and blog will gather up extra 250k for promotion. Its big. Record labels too would seek connections before signing you. Most of them don't believe in raw talents any longer. They just want you to connect your way to them. I wish they'd be easier to deal with. That's all


 Daddy O.: How can they connect to you?

TIFE: I do contests, I've tried to go to interviews in radio stations, I perform at top shows. They could reach me on any of those spaces. I do freestyle videos once inna while via Instagram @tifemusic, I tag Donjazzy, WizKid, Davido and all. I've been on the hustle for a while. I'm exposed. So its easy to get through to me
